Bathroom lighting needs to be functional and safe. Bathroom lights must conform to certain regulations and need to be IP44 rated or above to cope with the damp environment. Regulations stipulate that the closer your light fitting gets towards your shower or bath, the more protection it requires from moisture in the room. It is important that you choose your bathroom light fittings with the correct rating.
